Multidisciplinary Performing Artist - Singer-Songwriter, Actor, Instrumentalist
I consider myself to be a multidisciplinary artist who grew up on Sḵwx̱wú7mesh territory (Lions Bay) and the traditional use area of the Lhtako Dene and Xatśūll Nations (Wells, BC). I have played the cello from age five, which in turn ignited my passion as a singer songwriter. My perceptions of the world around me and my love of nature influence my style, and musical aesthetic.
Art, music, theatre and storytelling ignite my heart. It is where I feel the most courageous and free. I am so are grateful for any opportunity to share my impressions of love and life with the community around me. Memorable roles include Jack in Into the Woods (Studio 58), The Raft (Risky Nights, Studio 58) and getting to be a part of this incredible ensemble and family at Studio 58.
I cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings!
I want to tell my stories through theatre and song. Stories that resonate, stories that provoke, stories that inspire.
Just like the cells in our bodies, each element that goes into a performance or production is an integral part of telling the story.
Both my love of theatre, and music are built on the classics. It's this foundation that supports me when I branch out to other genres. I would say my style is soulful pop, poetic exposé with deep rhythms..
I find theatre to be a veritable grab bag of exploration. Like my music, I'm drawn to characters that are imbued with the markings of the underbelly of the human condition, which is often found in Shakespeare and Musical Theatre.
